Description: The mild, sweet, flat, dark green leaves have deep red mid veins and have a slightly sweet, earthy and mild nutty flavor. At full maturity the plant will reach 18 inches but leaves are wonderful picked young and used in salads as baby greens or blended into smoothies. Harvest the leaves from the bottom of the plant and work up towards the center leaving at least 4 leaves at the crown allowing the plant to continue producing.
