Spring hits differently in South Jersey! Start the season at Bast Brothers when we open Monday, March 23 for our 12th season. Read on to see what to expect opening week, what’s new for 2026, and why local gardeners trust us for quality plants and expert advice.

Front Patio & Barn
Start your trip to Bast Brothers with our entrance on the front patio. The barn houses seasonal home decor, our best-selling, handmade candles, beverages (grab-and-go drinks and, yes, wine too!), birding goods, last-minute gifts, fertilizers, and the main checkout. Perfect for quick gift purchases and impulse items!
Front Greenhouse
Here you will find a plethora of houseplants large and small, indoor pottery, artwork, trinkets and decor, faux flowers, and indoor gardening supplies. A great place to pick up unique decor items and plants that travel well home or as gifts!
Annual Pergola
All the early-season annuals and the cold-tolerant perennials you can plant now (think pansies, snapdragons, early perennials) can be found here. This area expands FAST once the weather warms up. If you want the best selection, check our socials and shop early!

Tree & Shrub Garden
Here you will find a wide selection of trees and shrubs for planting. We have separate sections (side-by-side) for sun vs shade tolerant plants! Need design help? Ask our staff for tips!

Perennial Garden
This garden area also fills extremely fast once the weather warms up, and new varieties arrive as the season progresses! Grab foundation plants now, check back later for seasonal favorites. For now, last years' stock is available with select new spring varieties!

Veggie & Herb Garden
Winter-hardy starts early (lettuce, kale, chard) will be found here. Not to be too repetitive, but selection expands fast as well, good idea to check back later in season. Veggies and herb starts, fruit trees and bushes, and so much more fill this area to the brim in peak season!

Second Greenhouse
The second greenhouse you will find stocked full of the most unique and charming home decor, more houseplants (in the near future), and a sale corner! Collection themes range from: A Ralph Lauren inspired home line, Coastal for all the beach-fans, whimsy for the color girlies, and so much more.
Kid’s Playground
We have a kid-friendly playground nearby that keeps families comfortable while you shop.
The artificial turf is by our sister business, Forever Lawn South Jersey.

Do you offer delivery or planting services?
Yes — local delivery is available and we partner with installers for larger projects. Ask in-store for estimates.
Do you accept returns or plant guarantees?

ALL LIVE GOODS ARE FINAL SALE.
It's a guarantee, not warranty. We guarantee our plants are healthy when they leave the Garden Center. We only source quality plants and take extra care while they are in our care. In order to keep our retails low, we do not offer a warranty on live goods. We do NOT have a warranty on any of our plants due to (but not limited to) Mother Nature, Acts Of God and Owner/Operator error.
Plants must be given sufficient light, water, and suitable soil conditions. If your plant starts to appear unhealthy, please bring a sample to our staff for analysis and recommendations.
HARD GOODS
- Pottery, Home Decor, Candles, Books, Gardening Tools, Ect. -
We accept returns up to 30 days with original receipt. Returns without a receipt will not be accepted. We do not accept returns for broken pottery or used candles.
Are pets/kids allowed?
Yes to both! We have a kid-friendly playground on-site; pets on a leash are allowed as long as you pick up after them.
What are your store hours?
We are open 7 days a week from March 23rd to December 23rd every year.

Saturday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday, 12:0pm - 4:00pm
Do you allow photography?
Yes we do! We allow photography between 9am and 6pm on weekday’s & Saturday’s, and between 12pm and 4pm on Sunday’s. A reservation is required at $50/hr. Any requests outside of our designated time periods MUST be approved by email first.
